In accordance with a verbal request from your

Department, I have the honour to transmit to you the accom-

panying copy of a letter with its enclosure, for the considera-

tion of Mr Secretary Lyttelton, which we have received from

the Government of Hong Kong on the subject of certain bottles

of spirits which have been sent to England for the purpose

of the analysis of their contents.

2. The bottles of spirits will be sent to the Colonial

Office as soon

as they have been received.
